"We don't want people to buy [Noah] because it's cool, or because a magazine said it's cool. We want people to connect with it in a real way," Brendon says. To him, that "real way" means understanding that in 2015, a person's real voting power in society comes not on election day, but in the things they buy. Buying 10 shirts made in a sweatshop in China is in some way showing your support for sweatshops in China. By contrast, buying a made-in-New York shirt from Noah casts your vote for products made by people making a decent living.

“We’re not asking someone to be a “Noah person”,” says Babenzien. “We’re asking people to be themselves and we hope that some of these products fit into peoples’ activities.”
